A warranty for your new home

You can count on David Wilson Homes to deliver quality throughout your home, but for added reassurance, all new homes are covered by the NHBC Buildmark Warranty^.

Who are the NHBC?

The National House Building Council, commonly referred to as the NHBC, is the UK's leading standard-setting body and provider of warranty and insurance for new homes.

Their role is to work with the housebuilding industry to raise standards and to provide consumer protection for homebuyers.

All our homes are covered by the NHBC Buildmark Warranty^ – this means we have complied with the NHBC Standards which set out the technical requirements for design, materials and workmanship in new home construction. So you can buy one of our spacious new homes with confidence.

The NHBC Buildmark Warranty provides the following cover:

Deposit protection – Buildmark provides insurance protection if, due to the builder's insolvency, you lose your deposit or the builder does not complete the home.

Builder warranty period – The builder warranty period is usually two years from the date of legal completion. During this period, we (David Wilson Homes) as the builder are responsible for rectifying any defects covered by warranty.

Insurance cover – After the builder warranty period ends, the NHBC provide insurance cover for specific parts of the home (usually for a period of 8 years), until expiry of the policy.
