Living in Worcestershire

Whether you’ve got your sights set on the Malvern Hills, the north of the county with its access to Birmingham or the south and the Cotswolds, Worcestershire is a part of the UK which caters for a number of tastes. You don’t need good taste to recognise how great our latest offers are though - it’s plain to see how saving a huge amount of stress and money with our Part Exchange scheme makes perfect sense.

Things to see and do in Worcestershire

Worcestershire has an array of interesting cultural attractions to sink your teeth into. Days out in Worcester are great with its historic cathedral, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum and the Museum of Royal Worcester, while the Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings is another good place to explore.

If you like to do your exploration outdoors, you’re spoilt for choice in Worcestershire. From Lickey Hills Country Park to the Clent Hills and the Worcestershire Beacon, the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills are perfect for long walks and bike rides too. Don’t miss Witley Court and Gardens, Hanbury Hall and Croome Court either, or the adventure centre at Wyre Forest if you have kids.

Education

If you have young children to think of, you could do a lot worse than sending them to St George’s Catholic Primary School. Found in Barnbourne in Worcester, it’s one of the top performing schools anywhere in the West Midlands. Grimley and Holt CofE is another outstanding option in Worcester, according to Ofsted, while Stottesdon CofE in Kidderminster is also in the education authority’s top band.

Kids in Kidderminster can continue their education at the outstanding Haybridge High School and Sixth Form or Hagley Catholic High School, while King’s School and Royal Grammar School in Worcester are excellent choices. If you live in Redditch, St Augustine’s Catholic High School should feature in your thoughts.

Transport links in Worcestershire

There are plenty of bus and rail routes across Worcestershire, while towns and villages in the north east of the county can offer excellent access to Birmingham Airport. The M5 motorway runs north to south though the heart of Worcestershire between Birmingham and Cheltenham, before continuing on to Bristol and Exeter. The M42 and M50 also pass through the county for a short time.

The Worcestershire property market

There’s been sustained growth in Worcestershire’s house prices over recent years, which are higher than the national average. This is in part due to beautiful properties like the 4 bedroom detached houses you can find on the outskirts of places like Redditch
