The east of the region is mainly connected by a network of A roads, as well as the M180 in the north. There are plenty of bus and rail routes across the East Midlands, with the highest concentration once again found in the west. This is where you’ll also find East Midlands Airport, which lies in the middle of Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. 

What is the East Midlands property scene like?

You can find a comprehensive range of properties to suit all kinds of budgets in the East Midlands, where houses prices are slightly lower than the average in the West Midlands. They’re considerably cheaper than the East of England, but higher than the Yorkshire and the Humber region.
